Hotel l'Escapade

The hotel was clean, organized, and everything felt new. Breakfast had lots of options, including an omelette made fresh. The owners, a couple, were warm and professional hosts. They went out of their way to make my wife, who is Swiss, and me, who is Brazilian, feel welcome. We were comfortable from day one throughout our five-day stay. Two stars for the hotel, five-star service! 🤩 We’ll definitely be back soon.)))

We couldn’t sleep properly during our two nights because the beds were so uncomfortable. The rooms are tiny, with hardly any room to move or put our things, and the breakfast looked very unappealing at 16 euros per person. The hotel itself was generally clean. The owner wasn’t very helpful, and didn’t assist with our luggage when we arrived, despite all the stairs up to the “lobby”. I wouldn’t recommend staying here.

The staff were really attentive, and the service was excellent. The beds were clean and comfortable, the shower was great, and they’d thought of the extras too, like good shampoo, a toothbrush and cotton buds. Breakfast was fabulous, with homemade pancakes.

We had clean rooms, but the beds were too short. The AC smelled really bad, and traffic noise meant we couldn’t keep the windows open at night. I wouldn’t book here again. The main reason for my low rating, though, is how the owners handled our reservation. They cancelled it a week before our stay so they could charge more. The stress was indescribable. Money aside, we couldn’t book anywhere else at such short notice and had to rebook at the higher price. Shame on you. I don’t book four months ahead just to have you cancel at the last second.
