There’s potential here: the hotel is a historic building in Le Lavandou and could become a real reference point. But it needs a serious renovation, not a few small fixes or local updates. The shared areas feel stuck in the 30-40 years ago, and the stairs are awful. I understand it’s a two-star place, but that shouldn’t mean letting it slide toward decay. Our room was dilapidated, with rough paint, very cheap Ikea furniture, and broken or imperfect things left unrepaired. Maybe the most sought-after, prestigious rooms get priority for maintenance, but I don’t know. The beach is close, which is a plus if that’s what you’re after. Parking helps too, though there aren’t enough spaces for all guests, so it’s first come, first served. The parking and concierge service both shut down by 9:00 pm, which feels like an 80's pension. It’s 2024, and customers won’t be in short supply. Invest seriously!

We’ve now stayed here for the second time and appreciated the value for the price, location, charm, and service. If you’re after a modern, clinical hotel with cold elevators, this probably isn’t the place for you. But if you enjoy old-style accommodation, personal service, and can overlook a few minor technical shortcomings, you’ll be right at home. We certainly were, and will come back.

The sea view is fantastic, and the location is central and perfect. There’s parking on site, and the rooms are spacious and clean. Everyone on staff is friendly and always glad to help. I loved staying here and will come back!

For us, the price and service worked very well together, and the location was good for a stay of about 2-4 days. Breakfast can be brought to your room if you want, at least in mid- and off-season. We’ll return!
