Lhtel de la plage

We hadn't planned to stay here, but it turned out to be the best stop along the coast from Cassis to Le Lavandou. If you want a few peaceful days by the sea, away from resort crowds and noise, this is a wonderful choice. The hotel sits right by a beautiful beach, with pines shading the grounds. The sand has small stones mixed in, but swimming is fine without special shoes, and it's suitable for kids too. We spent one day in a sea-view room with a terrace, then another in a sea-view room with a balcony. You can hear the waves, and you can also hear happy people at the bar right in front of the hotel 😂. With the windows closed, though, sleeping was fine while people enjoyed themselves there 🙃. The sunbeds cost extra, but you can reserve one. A bed in the first row on the hotel terrace, nearest the beach, costs 10 eur for the whole day. The hotel also provides beach towels. The restaurant was really nice. Breakfast is standard: croissants, baguette, butter, cheese, jam, yoghurt, fruit, fresh orange, and your choice of hot drink. The black coffee and cappuccino were really good. You can order from the menu throughout the day, and the food was delicious. There's also a daily menu that changes each day, with two starters, two mains, and two desserts. You can get the full menu for 34 eur or order each course separately, which is nice because there's something different every day.
