Surplage Hôtel Cavalière

I’ve stayed here several times, and each visit reminds me how welcome my dogs and I are. The staff in the restaurant under the reception are especially thoughtful. They make sure there’s fresh water for my dogs and even prepare treats or small meals for them. As a dog owner, I appreciate that warmth and care a lot. The team is attentive and genuinely friendly, and it’s clear they care about their work. I feel appreciated as a guest and as a dog owner whenever we visit the restaurant. The hotel is comfortable too, and I highly recommend it to travelers with dogs who value a welcoming atmosphere and great service. A huge thank you to the team for looking after us so well!

The ocean view is incredible, but the hotel rooms and common areas are a disaster. Everything feels VERY OUTDATED, with BROKEN showers and CRACKS everywhere. Even the concrete wall by the beach is covered with plastics. After the storm washed out the beach, there was no beach, just stairs going deep down to the sea, like a swimming pool. There’s a FALSE REVIEW from Fabienne Blaise with pictures of another place, Sables restaurant, not the hotel. The hotel management even thanked that review, which is false publicity. NOT COOL. It’s a 2 star hotel with a great view. I hope management fixes and upgrades the hotel.

The staff were really friendly, and the bike storage area was brilliant. We also had amazing breakfasts with bacon and eggs included. The hotel is perfectly situated, with spacious rooms looking out over the ocean. The place is a bit of an 80s time warp, and there are some leaks in the dining room. The rooms are definitely tired, but still good value for the location. I’d stay again and recommend it to others.

I love the sea view from my balcony above the sandy beach, and my room is spacious. It’s a beautiful hotel, and I’m having a lovely stay. I arrived yesterday after 10 pm without a reservation, and the receptionist, Antoine, and the guardian Samie were very helpful. The staff have been so nice.
