La Grande Lauzade

A peaceful spot in beautiful surroundings, with owners who couldn’t be more helpful. They make breakfast fresh, and their local knowledge is great. There’s an indoor and outdoor pool, plus a gym and massage. We’d absolutely want to come back. People say perfection doesn’t exist, but this place comes pretty close! 🥰

La Grande Lauzade was one of our favorite places during our trip through Provence. We loved having breakfast on the terrace with the owners and other guests, and the pool area was a highlight too. It’s wonderfully relaxing, with a lovely view of the vineyards and an old pine tree. There’s also an indoor pool and jacuzzi in the basement, beside the old wine cellar. With all the wood and chilled-out music, it’s a great spot on a rainy day. The house and rooms are beautifully done, with a mix of modern and vintage styles, and the kitchen area is stunning. We stayed in an attic room, partly because we didn’t want to miss the living room and kitchen as we came downstairs. There’s also a really cool room inside a school bus, with its own porch, hot tub, and comfy chairs, so choosing between that and the house was hard. A gym is available as well. There’s an interesting story behind the old property. It used to be a church, which was later demolished, leaving only the altar arch. That ruin became the start of a new story, and now this beautiful house can be your home in Provence for a few days. We’d recommend it for both short and longer stays.

We had such a wonderful day in a lovely house, hosted by the kindest people. I wish we could’ve stayed longer. We’ll definitely be back! ❤️

We spent two nights in the bus for Valentine’s Day, and it was a childhood dream come true. Isabelle and Christophe made the weekend even nicer with their warm welcome and kindness. Even with the rather gloomy weather, we had a great stay. We played a few games of billiards, swam in the magnificent heated natural pool beneath a huge 18th-century vault, which was a truly unique experience, and relaxed in the bus’s private spa. The breakfasts each morning were sumptuous too. A huge thank you to you both. Nathalie and Patrick.
