Really cool!

For the price, it's a nice, spacious cottage in a beautiful, quiet spot with a good view. The walk into town is lovely and takes about fifteen minutes. The amenities were fine, and there are two roomy sleeping areas with linen provided and excellent mattresses. You can stand upright beside the bed! The swimming pool is closed in September. Communication was difficult. The staff don't speak English, German, or any other language besides French, and our basic French only went so far. There were also serious safety concerns: no fire extinguisher, and the smoke alarm batteries seemed dead, which caused loud beeping. Putting up another alarm didn't solve it. The staff seemed unconcerned and didn't do anything to fix the problem.

I stayed for several days in early July and would happily return. The municipal campsite was peaceful, with hedges between the pitches, and the sanitary facilities were very clean. Its manager gave me an excellent welcome. The nearby municipal pool was free to access, and getting to the town center was easy by car, bike, or on foot.

The setting is lovely and the outdoor areas, including the pool and children's play area, are quite nice. That just made the lack of things for children more noticeable. There was no children's equipment, and they still charged tourist tax for a child. A barbecue was available to rent, but no high chair or travel cot. Hornet nests outside every chalet kept us from enjoying the terrace in the evening, and music went on until 3:30 am, so we couldn't sleep. The welcome was awful, and the reception staff were cold and no help at all. I strongly advise against staying here.

The chalets were well equipped, very clean, and well insulated. The small TV and mini-fridge worked, too. But at over 75 euros a night, without sheets, I expected more. We had to buy toilet paper, a mop, and a bath mat at the supermarket. The security deposit cost more than the website said, with no explanation. The mattress felt like sleeping on a boat, the bunk beds weren't great, and the Wi-Fi didn't exist. The welcome at the entrance varied a lot, sometimes friendly, sometimes, well, ouch. It was a work trip, luckily. Would I come back as a tourist? Um... no.
