B&B Hotel Le Mans Centre

Peter greeted us warmly even though we arrived late, and helped with everything we asked for. We had secure underground parking for our motorcycle, which was very handy. The centre and basic amenities are close by. This hotel suited our needs perfectly, five stars from me.

The host was friendly, helpful, and spoke English, and we could park in the garage right next door for one day at a reasonable price. We were in Le Mans for the MotoGP weekend, when hotel prices were generally high, so this place was affordable for the timing of our visit. It was our first time in town. Once settled, we saw how convenient the location was, near the old town, Le Mans Cathedral, and the main plaza downtown. The tram stop is a three-minute walk away, with easy rides to the train station and Bugatti Circuit. Our room was compact but not cramped. We were lucky to get one with a large bathroom, which made our five-day stay comfortable. I'm not sure how small the other bathrooms are.

The staff were lovely and the location was great, but you can hear everything between rooms. A family next door shouted and slammed doors, and their baby cried nonstop, so we didn't sleep. We had to pack up and switch rooms in the middle of the night. We wouldn't stay here again.

You can walk to the centre of Le Man's in just a few minutes, and the reception staff were friendly. It's a budget hotel, though, and the rooms are quite small. Our bed was comfortable, and the small bathroom was usable, but the shower wasn't great and there was mould on the sealant. The hotel's car park was full, so we had to pay extra to use a nearby public one. Room doors started banging early in the morning, so don't count on a lie-in.
