We arrived for breakfast at 8:30 AM, even though it’s served until 10:00, and most of the food, including bread and eggs, was already gone. When we asked why it hadn’t been replenished, they called us crazy and gave us a bunch of excuses, saying it wasn’t their fault people had eaten so much. We asked for a refund since we couldn’t have breakfast, and then they suddenly stopped speaking English and used only French swear words.

For sightseeing, the location is pretty so-so. The Cathedral and the Villle are a 20-25 minute walk away, and the nearby restaurants are mostly fast food in a neighbourhood that isn’t very nice. But if you’re coming by train or bus, the hotel is right in front of the main station. It’s a standard Campanile that meets the brand’s usual standards, with clean, comfortable rooms and very good front desk service.

After 14 hours on the road from Spain, worn out by delays from accidents and roadworks, we got a warm welcome and a good meal. Every request was dealt with straight away, whoever we asked on the team. The service was excellent from the time we arrived until we left the next day. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend the hotel.

The hotel feels very new and modern, and our room was a nice size with a generous bathroom. Staff were efficient and breakfast was very good. There’s onsite parking for an extra charge, but it filled up quickly after we arrived, so I’m not sure what happens when it’s full.

The family room worked perfectly for us, with two large rooms connected by a separate section of hallway. We didn’t hear outside noise, and breakfast was okay. The coffee and orange juice were good, too. If you have dietary needs, just ask and they’ll get something for you.
