Hôtel Green 7 - LE CIRCUIT

Plenty of parking, and the tram line right outside makes it easy to get into town or to the circuit. The rooms are basic, but the restaurant is pretty good and the service is great. The location is decent. You get what you pay for, and it's good for a stopover.

We booked the hotel while driving and called to say we'd arrive around 23:00. The young woman my wife spoke to was very helpful and reassured us that the night person would let us in. We got there at 22:15, and she was still there with another woman. Both were friendly and helpful. In the morning, my wife, who is French, asked a young man whether there was a boulangerie. He said there was one just down the road, but didn't mention that because it was Sunday they were all closed. That wasn't helpful. He was also very formal and unfriendly, which was a shame.

No one was at reception at 10 in the evening, even though the desk isn't open 24 hours. The bed linen stayed unchanged for four days, which is really not acceptable. If the sheets are dirty, they need to be changed.

The Le Mans themed pictures around the hotel were interesting, and the staff were friendly and helpful, speaking good English. The room temperature was just right, with discreet ventilation, and the bedroom was good apart from the pillows. They were much too thick and oddly square, and we slept badly because of them. It's a good place for a pit stop, very clean, though a little old and tired.
