Right across from the cathedral, this clean, pleasant place is ideally central for the main attractions. The historic building has lovely antique details. Breakfast was a treat, especially the homemade yogurt and delicious jams and marmalades. Thanks for the warm welcome and friendly smiles.

Three weeks after I booked, the hotel cancelled, saying it was due to “overbooking.” That’s frustrating and far too unreliable for me, never again. The room was listed again afterward, but for 70 EUR more.

Lovely people and a beautiful, character-filled B&B. During La Nuiit de Chimeres, you can see the cathedral light display perfectly from the front door. The location is amazing. Many thanks.

The rooms were clean and breakfast was delicious, and the manager made us feel very welcome. It’s a wonderful little hotel right in the middle of medieval Le Mans. Highly recommended.

The location is right on the edge of the old town, with lots of small restaurants nearby, though they only open Tuesday through Saturday. Breakfast comes with fresh-baked bread and homemade confiture in a small dining room, or you can eat outside by a fountain in the garden. I loved my second stay at La Demeure de Laclais. It’s an elegant, cozy little hotel that makes me feel relaxed straight away. The rooms are spacious and have a private cottage feel, with soft beds and generous showers, baths, and balconies.
