Breakfast was really nice, with fresh juice, pastries, and even some smoked salmon. This was our fourth stop on a three-night journey through small towns in France, and so far it was our number one hotel. It's independently owned, which made it feel even nicer because the people really care, even though it's a Best Western. The hotel is an old convent converted into a charming place to stay, and each room is different. I really enjoyed ours. It had a coffee maker and everything needed for a comfortable stay, plus daily service, lovely towels, and a bathroom heater for warming them. The location is perfect for many of the city's cultural attractions. From the moment you arrive at the front desk, everyone makes you feel welcome and couldn't be kinder or more helpful. One of the best-run hotels I've been to in a while. I'd definitely stay here if I were in this part of the world.

The room was quiet, with great air conditioning, Wi-Fi, and water pressure in both the sink and shower. The property was clean, the elevator was quick, and the breakfast was very good, including cooked eggs. It's within walking distance of lots of restaurants near the square. Ana was especially lovely at reception, speaking perfect English and cheerfully answering all our questions. The staff overall were friendly and accommodating. But the lighting in our room was horrible. It felt like living in a cave, and the black walls made things worse. There was only one small window, too. The toilet room had a sensor instead of a light switch, and the light kept coming on and off in the middle of the night when nobody was nearby. It also switched off while we were inside if we stayed more than 30 seconds. That was really annoying, and we couldn't get out of the room fast enough. We've stayed in hundreds of hotels across Europe, from two to five stars, and despite the many positives, I wouldn't stay here again because of the dark room and black walls. It needs a bucket of white paint, please!

We had a good stay at LP, with welcoming staff and a very good breakfast selection. We picked it for its good reviews, central LM location, and secure parking. Le Mans was our first stop in France on the way to the Pyrenees, so we could visit the Le Mans 24 Hr Museum.

The location is great, with everything right on your doorstep, but for what it cost, I wouldn't stay here again. We booked two rooms, and after a five-hour drive one wasn't ready. Nobody offered another room or even a complimentary drink while we waited. The rooms were okay, though one was missing toiletries, robes, and slippers. Breakfast was a complete letdown: the room was smaller than our hotel room and the food selection was poor. There wasn't enough for everyone, so you had to wait and get there first or go without. At €15, I'd suggest eating out instead. We told the receptionist, but they offered nothing, and we were still asked to pay for parking.

We had a spacious room with beautiful decor, apparently the best one in the hotel, and were lucky to get it. Breakfast was plentiful, with lots to choose from, and a midday checkout was a nice bonus. The staff were all friendly and very helpful. It's a great city centre location with parking, though the parking postcode listed on the website, 72000, was wrong. We had to find the hotel on foot first, then go back for the car.
