The easy key-box check-in was a real plus, and the place is about five minutes by car from the center. The bedding was adequate. But the apartment was much less appealing in person than it looked in the photos, and there were problems throughout. We arrived at 7:00 PM expecting a travel cot for our son, but its mattress wasn't there. For the first night, we were told to fold a duvet into quarters to use as a mattress. The room was 27 degrees Celsius, and the cheap fans were very noisy. We spent part of the next morning trying to find a suitable mattress. It was supposed to be delivered that morning, but we were still waiting. Cleanliness was poor. Some cutlery was dirty, and greasy utensils and pans had to be cleaned before use. The cleaning before we arrived seemed cursory, and it felt as though we'd left the place cleaner. There were black fingerprints on a door. In the bathroom, the underlying humidity problem hadn't been dealt with before repainting, so paint was peeling on all the walls and ceilings. The furniture felt flimsy and cheap, and was hard to use. The apparently new sofa creaked; the attractive Swedish-style chairs weren't comfortable; and the bedroom dresser wobbled when opened. The kitchen utensils seemed second-hand, with loose handles and lots of scratches. Some appliances were already quite worn because they were so fragile. Even the pot and pan lids were the wrong size. There were other basic things missing: no oven mitts despite the oven, nowhere to put toiletries in the cramped shower, only 5ml of dish soap, and no hand soap in the toilet. The parking wasn't always available. Because the entrance was narrow, only two cars could fit, not three, unless they were all small. The windows didn't open properly, and with their low sills and no guardrails, they seemed like a clear safety risk for children.
