The rooftop is well worth checking out. We had mojitos while watching the sunset, enjoyed the little pool, and paid for breakfast the next morning. Our room was beautiful and just right, with a modern bathroom and a nice rain shower. The bed was one of the most comfortable I've slept in, and the blackout curtains were great. Loved this boutique hotel, 10/10, I'd recommend it and love to come back.

Yann and Benji deserve a special thank you. They made my stay feel like a five-star experience, and I had a great time at this lovely little hotel. The rooftop has a bar, an unheated pool, and a beautiful bay view. The recently built hotel stands out from the places around Le Marin, and you can walk to both the old and new marina and to good restaurants. Rooms facing the sea can get noisy when locals have a street party, but my room was on the other side of the street, so I wasn't affected.

The hotel’s marketing and website are its strongest points, and they did a very good job of selling us on Sable Bleu. It’s in the marina of Marin, opposite the customs station, so it can be a convenient base for sailors starting a yacht charter. We were after a beach holiday, though, and found the location a poor fit for exploring Martinique. We ended up there because of the marketing, so really, that was our own fault. We were a bit annoyed, mostly with ourselves. The hotel had opened fairly recently when we visited. Some rooms are described as having a “garden view,” but what you actually see is a blue wooden wall, so I’d avoid those. The marina view rooms are as advertised. Rooms are small but function well, with a separate toilet, a coffee machine (you have to request new capsules each day), and excellent air conditioning that’s quiet, effective, and easy to adjust. The duvet was absurdly heavy, though I know that comes down to personal preference. There’s a nice little rooftop bar, a mini pool, and a lovely view up there. We were there at the end of March, supposedly high season, but the hotel was more or less empty. One young woman handled everything: reception, bar, room service, and housekeeping, and you could summon her to different places with an electronic bell. She was extremely friendly and helpful. I even shared some cocktail-making know-how in an impromptu little lesson. Still, our room went uncleaned on two of our four nights. After the second time, she kindly offered to move us to another room, but is that really what a guest should have to do? They need another person for room cleaning at least. Maybe the staff had other work, though? I also asked politely for help arranging a diving trip, but it didn't happen. The hotel more or less works if you're well prepared and have a specific reason to stay there, say you need to be in Marin. Guests have to be very hands-on. And definitely don't arrive on a Sunday, when the town is practically dead. For what the hotel offers, it was simply much too expensive. Poor value for money and serious understaffing are the main reasons for my mediocre rating.

The rooftop terrace is lovely, and the staff were so kind and attentive. It’s a handy spot for the marina and nearby restaurants, and Zanzibar was a great choice. The room felt small and a bit basic for the price. A few details were awkward too: the hairdryer cord was too short to reach a convenient outlet, and the water carafe had to be filled with filtered water downstairs. It didn’t fit in the fridge either. Small annoyances, though, and the team couldn’t have been nicer.

The staff were just amazing, honestly. With a beautiful marina right there and amenities on both sides of the road, the setting is really convenient. It has that perfect little boutique-hotel feel, and we were very comfortable.
