Gîtes Les Grandes Voies

Mrs. Zohra was so kind and friendly, and she gave us a very warm welcome. She explained which places we could visit and which trails were open then, and provided a list of restaurants near the village. The cottages were pleasant, welcoming, and clean. I highly recommend staying here, and we'll be back.

The park has lots of room for children to play safely, and after hiking there are plenty of comfortable places to sit and relax. We stayed in Chalet "Cossu", which felt a little dated, though the amenities were all excellent. A lovely, peaceful place.

The nights were peaceful, the house comfortable, and hygiene protocols were followed. Our cottage was spacious, pleasant, and private, in a beautiful setting with a magnificent flower garden. We had a wonderful welcome throughout our stay. A restful break, highly recommended.

After more than two hours on the road, we arrived to find a different gîte from the one we'd booked online. It had two bedrooms instead of three, a much smaller living area with no window in the lounge, no wood stove in the lounge, and a sofa bed instead of a large sofa. The people who had been given our gîte refused to move, so we had to leave. The owner clearly knew about her "mistake": she wasn't surprised when we said the accommodation wasn't what we'd booked. Yet nobody thought it was relevant to warn us before we arrived. No respect for customers. Airbnb refunded us, but even though we'd booked several weeks ahead, we ended up with four hours of driving for nothing, a tank of gas at our expense, and a family weekend ruined. EDIT after the manager's reply: It's incredible to see such bad faith, since we were at your place last night, even if only for the round trip, because you'd given our gîte to other travelers without a shred of scruple.
