Nomad Hotel Roissy CDG

Despite a mix-up with the room keys, the staff were kind and friendly. Our replacement room was very spacious, with two entry doors, two chairs by the TV, two more by the desk, and two bathrooms, one with a shower and one without. The hotel was clean and close to CDG, beside the charming town of Roissy. We explored after lunch and found a small park where the community was holding its own Christmas market. It was wonderful to see. Breakfast the next morning was nice, though I think they may have been short staffed. I hadn’t fully checked the details of the “airport shuttle service.” We arrived at CDG around 1430 hrs and called for pickup, only to learn the shuttle ran 0500-1100 and 1700-2300, and that a third-party shuttle required payment. We took a taxi for about 18 euros. When our room wasn’t ready, Monseur at the front desk kindly held our bags while we went into town for lunch. Before bed, we booked the shuttle to CDG for the next morning at 5 euros per person. There’s an extra charge for more luggage. I’d stay here again, but if I needed a hotel by CDG for an early flight, I’d probably choose the Novotel at CDG, which you can reach by tram or train.

For the price, it was excellent. Across our whole stay in Europe, this was the only hotel that included breakfast, and the buffet was high quality. The rooms are very techy, but fun.

The staff gave us fantastic service and went above and beyond to make our grandchildren’s last-minute stopover extra special. Amazing hotel.

I had serious billing problems here, and I hope this review saves someone else the trouble. On two stays, six months in advance, I paid for three rooms for my family. When we arrived, they said the payment for one room hadn’t gone through, even though I had a confirmation. I paid for that room again that night and asked them to confirm everything was settled. They did, and gave me a paper receipt. After we’d already left, with everything supposedly paid in full, the hotel suddenly charged $280 to my card. I can’t get through to them about it. They don’t answer emails, and calling leaves you in an endless loop of third parties. I’m giving this 3 stars so more people might see it.
