Shambala Lodge

I stayed for three nights and could easily have stayed longer. The private bungalows and gorgeous garden were lovely, and Pierre is such a warm, memorable host. I also booked an amazing massage, one of the best I’ve ever had. It’s hard to put into words what makes the place special, but from the moment I arrived it felt like home. Go see it for yourself, you won’t be disappointed, I guarantee you that!

We were lucky to spend six days at Shambala Lodge. Pierre’s hospitality and the slow mornings with breakfast on site made it easy to enjoy the beautiful garden. So many small details around the property showed care. We appreciated the filtered water, a kitchen with everything we needed, a comfortable sofa, pleasant shared spaces, and those excellent breakfasts. We were even offered some local rum to taste, along with lots of other thoughtful touches. There’s a pool with all the comfort you need. Great value for money, and we highly recommend it.

The lodges are lovely and comfortable, and the pool, garden, and location all felt just right. Pierre was friendly and helpful, and his breakfasts were amazing. We had a great stay and would love to come back one day.

We spent two nights here and really liked the feel of the place. The bungalows have an unusual partly indoor, partly outdoor setup that made for a distinctive stay. Pierre was friendly and funny, put together lovely little breakfasts, and helped us plan the next part of our time on the island. I’d recommend it for a quaint, reasonably priced stay on Guadeloupe’s eastern side.
