The staff were so welcoming and friendly, and that burger was one of the best I’ve ever had. The prawn starter was amazing too. I’ll definitely be back plenty more times.

We’ve been to L'Abbaye several times on vacation, and each time the staff have made us feel so welcome, even though we hadn’t booked. Their friendly, professional, helpful service and the care they put into the food and its presentation made our stay more memorable. I don’t usually drink Guinness outside Ireland, especially in France, but owner Peter told me on our first visit that he poured the best pint in France. I took him up on the challenge and watched the whole process, from the first pour and the pause before the second to the creamy head and temperature. Most of all, I paid attention to the taste. He lived up to his claim. It really was the best pint of Guinness I’ve had in France. Thank you for the friendship and warm welcome. Ger & Connie

We stopped in for lunch midweek and found a lovely place with a busy, lively atmosphere. There were three of us, and we all had three courses, plus two bottles of wine and some beers. The food was outstanding and the portions were generous. The bill came to £85, worth every penny. We’ll definitely come back.
