The breakfast and table d'hôtes meal were generous, varied, and delicious, and the whole place felt carefully put together. Anne greeted us with a smile and showed us to the Parrot Room, a lovely little nest with a four-poster bed. Josy and I felt at ease right away. The Château de la Sébinière sits in a beautifully kept wooded park at the end of a tree-lined drive, and the calm there really lives up to its name. We only managed one night because our schedule was tight, but we promised ourselves we'd come back soon and stay longer.
