La Bastide des pins

The studio is clean and has good value for money if you book directly, which is cheaper. It’s small but well equipped, with a great bathroom and large walk-in shower. The kitchen is tiny, though, and the narrow counter leaves little room to set things down. There’s a stovetop, fridge, microwave and Tassimo coffee machine, with pods provided. There isn’t much crockery, but enough for two. The bed takes up a lot of space and the mattress was average. The little table worked fine, and there’s a large storage closet. The balcony faces the pool, but it’s very narrow and the table could be replaced. We enjoyed the pool, which was still open on the last weekend before closing on October 27, 2025. It isn’t heated. The place must be lovely in warmer weather with the pool and air conditioning. The beach is close, about 10-15 minutes on foot, with a bakery and convenience store a five-minute walk away. The village center is about 10 minutes by bike, with restaurants and a very nice square, and supermarkets are nearby by bike or car. Parking is free and secure, so bikes are safe too, though the side gate takes some maneuvering if you have a large car with bike racks.

I spent one night here while waiting for my boat to Corsica during a strike. The studio was nice and very clean, with a sea view, a kitchenette, a walk-in shower and a small balcony overlooking the pool. The only issue was the upstairs neighbors moving furniture around at 2 a.m., but the owners can’t be held responsible for tenants’ noise. There’s a large, secure parking lot, and the place is close to the sea, only 8 km from the port of Toulon. I’ll come back if I have an early boat to Corsica.

The host was really friendly and efficient, and the location is beautiful. We also appreciated the secure private parking, private terrace and air conditioning. Our one night in the “Bali” room was great: it was spacious, clean and comfortable, with spotless bedding, a walk-in shower and a fully equipped kitchenette. I’d highly recommend La Bastide des Pins.

We only stayed one night, and the room was very clean. The welcome was warm, and the accommodation is well placed near the beaches. We could hear the neighbors talking until 2 a.m., which was the one downside. I recommend staying here. L and D CLAPSON
