The rooms, breakfast, and service were clean and dependable, but after staying at similar places along the Camino, I’d call them average rather than special. The house carries sound easily, with footsteps audible from any floor, so light sleepers should be aware. Our room was tidy, though the bath and shower arrangement was awkward: I had to crouch in the tub and use a handheld shower. The host welcomed us warmly the night before our walk and even helped my partner get her huge suitcase up to the first floor.

Our room had a bath but no shower, though some of the other rooms do have showers. The rooms were clean, the location was great, and the service felt genuinely friendly. Noise depends on the other guests, but I was woken at 2am by people walking upstairs.

The B&B has a rustic antique look throughout, and the rooms are large. Its location is very good, though the owner is eccentric. Breakfast was basic: bread, jam, tea, coffee, and cornflakes. The flakes came with only a small cup, and when I asked for a bowl or something larger, there wasn’t one.

A lovely room and a great host, with a very French feel to the place.
