Villa La Coste

Villa La Costa feels stylish, elegant, and very relaxing as soon as you arrive. The thoughtfully designed details give the place a warm, inviting charm. It’s calm throughout, just right for unwinding and enjoying a peaceful getaway.

This was my fourth visit. It’s a fantastic property, and there’s always new art to see. Service wasn’t great this time, though. There were lots of new staff, and they didn’t know their topics well enough.

The room was one of the best I’ve stayed in, and the hotel is incredibly beautiful. Its design is striking, with custom furniture and pieces by famous artists in the rooms. The whole La Coste property feels unique. We didn’t enjoy the food at breakfast or dinner, and the La Coste winery wine was really poor. The service was pleasant, but didn’t always meet what you’d expect from a hotel of this caliber. The pool was unattended and a little dirty. I also found it strange that the staff didn’t seem to know much about the hotel’s design and history. When I asked about the giant Le Corbusier tapestry in the lobby, they didn’t know who Le Corbusier was. A better chef, wine, and staff training would make this a five star hotel.

We loved the food, and the staff were kind and attentive. The villa was cozy and had remarkable views. Riding bikes around to see all the funky art was a lot of fun. We definitely plan to come back.
