Hotel Be Cottage

Breakfast had to be eaten on a chair because the tables weren't big enough. The fruit salad was disgusting, straight from a can and loaded with sugar. The bed was the most uncomfortable I've ever slept in, the room was too hot, and the Wi-Fi didn't work. When I checked out, the receptionist seemed totally disinterested and clearly in a foul mood. She actually said, "I don't manage the ordering!" Never again.

I had an accident just before our trip and had to rush to the doctor, so we contacted the hotel. They weren't accommodating at all. I could understand being charged for a cancellation, but even after explaining what had happened, they charged us the full price of the night. Needless to say, stay away!

At least the place was clean, but I was disappointed. There was no parking as advertised, only paid parking or free spaces around town. There was no air conditioning or fan, and I had to run the hot tap for ten minutes before the water got hot. We ordered two gin and tonics at the bar, but got no ice or slice, and one of the glasses had a big chip.

A lovely hotel with easy access to restaurants, the town centre, the market and the beach. Le Touquet airport isn't far away either. Thank you!
