West Green - Maison Entre Dunes Et Lac

There are wonderful walks right from the back door, the host was very helpful, and the beds were so comfortable. What a delightful place for a holiday.

Great location, a lovely host, and a nice house with beautiful views.

The house itself was genuinely pleasant, nicely presented and well located. But poor upkeep and the response from Primo Conciergerie seriously damaged the stay. The advertised BBQ couldn’t be used when we arrived. The gas grill was dirty, contaminated with charcoal, and had an empty gas bottle. The agency asked us to buy gas and seek reimbursement, which we declined. We went to seven shops because supplies were scarce locally, and the agency representative made it clear she thought our requests were a burden. The BBQ never worked during our stay. For the final two days, there was no hot water, as the resort’s concierge/janitor confirmed. The agency did nothing to fix it. When we followed up, they accused us of bullying and intimidation, and at one point threatened to file a police report because we kept reporting unresolved issues. They refused every request to speak directly to the owner. Neither the agency nor the owner offered compensation. Only after we escalated the matter to Booking.com did customer service acknowledge what had happened and refund 20% of the stay. If you expect to get what you paid for, be aware that what’s advertised may not be maintained, and the agency showed no accountability. That makes this a risky booking.

The accommodation was a 25 minute walk from town, and the cleaning was poor. The barbecue hadn’t been cleaned either. We had to wash the dishes on arrival, and didn’t like the metal plates and cups.
