Breakfast was the better meal, and the fresh orange juice was lovely. The rooms were dated, but clean and tidy, though there was no tea or coffee in them. The corridors had stains and cobwebs. Dinner was poor: some food seemed reheated or previously frozen. The fish, for example, was rubbery and tasteless, with freezer burn. It certainly wasn't the gourmet meal described.

The terrace is nice, and the surroundings are quiet. The food is okay, and the people are friendly.

A great spot to stop for coffee or another drink.

The cheese course was a mess. We'd requested cheese with our order, but had to remind them, and when the cart came there was no explanation of what any of the cheeses were. My partner wasn't sure of the name of the first one he pointed to, so we ended up choosing by pointing. Not exactly classy. We also asked for the chocolate fondant without ice cream, repeated the request when the cheese arrived, and still got it with ice cream. The waitress had promised a molten center, but it was overcooked and nowhere near molten. We came in August 2025. I remembered this elegant restaurant from when I was a child and was excited to bring my partner. At first it looked promising: we were among the first there, with a large, clean, classy table. That feeling didn't last. I asked for the non-alcoholic drinks menu, and the waitress asked if I wanted one. She brought the drink but no menu, so I couldn't check its price or choose something else. After waiting more than half an hour to order, we asked what side came with a certain meat. She said it depended on the chef's mood, and to tell her what we wanted and it should be fine. The appetizers had an absurd amount of salad for one tiny slice of foie gras, though the foie gras itself was very good. Another table discreetly said the place was overpriced. The waitress snapped back, then brought it up to us when we paid, saying that customers like that made her hate her job. It made things uncomfortable and didn't win her the sympathy she seemed to want. The meal took 3.5 hours: we arrived at 7 pm, nearly first, and left at 10:30 pm as the last ones, with the alley lights out. At payment, she asked if it had taken too long, and yes, it had. She also asked whether the fondant was actually molten, and no, it wasn't. Disappointing. I won't be back.

The restaurant is one to avoid, in my view. For 37 euros, the menu came with green salad and warm cheese, then fairly good red meat alongside poor frozen fries, six frozen green beans, and five small cubes of celery. There wasn't much choice of cheese, and although dessert was said to be homemade, I have my doubts. The service feels overpriced for the quality. The rooms are basic but clean and fair for the price, and the aging pool was clean.
