Patricia gave us great tips for discovering local spots and making the trip memorable. The food was incredible, and both the house and grounds were kept in perfect condition. It’s a beautiful place with a lovely host. Thanks for being so kind and welcoming.

The gardens are lush and lovely, and probably the best part, with a small pool area, badminton, pétanque, and a swing our daughter loved. Patricia and Nicolas were wonderful hosts, making sure we had everything. We asked about picnicking on the grounds and they were happy for us to; Patricia even put together a tray with plates, cutlery, glasses, and napkins. Our room was cozy and comfortable. We booked a larger one to fit a children’s bed, which they provided. It’s a lovely little inn. There’s also a table d’hôtes dinner option, though we didn’t try it.

Breakfasts were very good, and dinner on our first night was a fun evening. We met a lovely French couple and got to know each other through Google translate. Patricia and Nicholas were always available and patiently answered our many questions. The hosts also provided a crib and highchair, which made things much easier with our son’s family and their one-year-old and three-year-old. We had a fantastic time in this alpine chalet-style home. Our son’s room had a loft with toys for the children, and outside there was a huge yard with a brook, bench swing, and patio to relax on after a day out. The house is near Lake Aiguebelette and a short drive from Chambery. We found a Roman road nearby for a nice hike at Les Voies de L’Epine. We’ll definitely return when we’re in the area.

We stayed for two nights and the evening meal was amazing both times. I’d strongly recommend ordering it. It included local ingredients and homemade bread, all at a very reasonable price. The rooms, facilities, swimming pool, and location were superb, and the hosts were friendly and helpful. Everything about the place was excellent.
