The location near the ski lift was excellent, and I loved the views and balcony. Fresh bread delivery in the morning, available to buy, was a nice touch. The wellness area was fantastic and free to use, with a jacuzzi, hammam, sauna, and swimming pool. Children did enter the spa even though it was listed as 16+. There was also very good storage for winter sports gear. I enjoyed my week and would return, especially since the price felt fair for what was offered. Still, I wouldn't yet call it a true 5-star property. The beds were on the small side, the room wasn't cleaned during my stay, and towels were only replaced if requested. There was no on-site restaurant or 24/7 reception, and some staff didn't speak English. Parking cost €120 per week. The shower head felt small and low quality, and the room lighting had different color temperatures. During heavy snowfall there were no snow shovels available to borrow. These are some of the things I expect at a 5-star level, though they could all be improved.

The apartments were clean, comfortable, and relaxing, and the staff were both kind and professional. I had an amazing stay and would definitely come again!

Being right next to the ski lift was a real plus, and the ski locker for skis and shoes had a heater. Valmorel village is cosy, with restaurants, bars, ski shops, supermarkets, and a bakery. It's not cheap, but not too expensive either. Most of the slopes were easy and good for a beginner like me, with plenty of options across the wide area. Some lifts felt dated, but they got you where you needed to go. The apartments were nice, though there were some annoyances. The halls had no lights for the first few days, so it was hard to find our room. The tile floors made the apartments noisy, and we could hear neighbors moving chairs, which was really annoying. The WiFi cut out every hour. The kitchen, bathroom, and beds were all okay. There was a parking garage for a fee. The road up to the place is very steep, and in snowy conditions I imagine it wouldn't be pleasant to drive. You'd definitely need snow chains.

The flats are spacious and nicely decorated. The apartments are great, but the location in Valmorel isn't necessarily the best. The ski lift beside them is very accessible, but it's so slow you won't make morning ski lessons on time. You also have to take another slow lift afterward to get to better slopes. The ski shoe dryer wasn't working, and the hot tubs weren't very hot.
