MGM Hôtels & Résidences – Hôtel Akoya

The spa was the worst part: just a sauna, steam room, and one hot tub that wasn't actually hot. The fitness room was even more disappointing, with one treadmill and two other cardio machines. I waited over an hour for the treadmill, then gave up. The rooms were okay, but for that nightly price there wasn't much to brag about. I won't stay again unless the price drops by 50%.

The location was magnificent, and we didn't need the car once all week. We spent a wonderful week in a superb four-bedroom apartment with breathtaking views of the snow-capped mountains. Service at this 5-star residence was top-notch, and the reception team stayed attentive, friendly, and helpful at all hours, always smiling despite how busy they were. What stays with me most is how at ease I felt at AKOYA Valmorel. It has a rare warmth and humanity alongside its refinement, and the team made me feel expected, recognized, and valued from the start. Everyone was lovely, available, and attentive in a way that made the stay memorable. The welcome was sincere, elegant, and flexible. The spa was a real sanctuary, with a sauna, hammam, jacuzzi, and relaxation areas. Everything was thoughtfully designed for comfort and flowed seamlessly. The facilities were sumptuous and soothing, at a level I've never encountered elsewhere. The cocktails also deserve a mention: creative, refined, and perfectly made, like those in the best luxury hotel bars. I've stayed at countless high-end hotels and resorts around the world, including many 5-star places, but AKOYA stands out. The facilities are extraordinary, and the whole place has a unique atmosphere. A huge thank you and congratulations to the team for their exceptional work. I'll come back without hesitation.

We'd already stayed here in summer, and it was lovely to find the hotel as a haven in the depths of winter too ☺️. The village location is excellent, and our room was large with a magnificent view. The spa was perfect for a start to the day or after sports. Staff were smiling, attentive, and quick to help. The one drawback was the soundproofing. We had noisy neighbors in the apartment above us.
