You’ll need to bring most of the basics: there are no pantry or toiletry supplies, and you’re expected to make the beds when you arrive and clean the rooms yourself. There’s a vacuum, but no cleaning products. The dishwasher is there, but bring your own tablets. No laundry facilities in the residence either. There’s a coin laundry on the main road, just below the church/social hall, for €6 a load, cash only, using €1 and €2 coins. Laundry powder costs 50c from the machine and takes various coins. They’ll provide clean sheets, towels and two tea towels on Sundays if you ask by filling in a reception form. For skiing, you can ski out; skiing in works if you’re a reasonable skier, otherwise there’s a short walk. The rooms themselves are minimal.

Staff were very polite. The location is really good for ski in and out, though skiing in does mean taking a bit of a red run.
The hotel’s a bit old, but it’s cool. The location is perfect for getting on and off the pistes at Val Thorens, and the southwest mountain views are amazing.
We were three but got a room meant for four, and I honestly couldn’t work out where the fourth person would sleep. The windows aren’t the newest and let cold air in, though the heating was enough to keep the rooms warm. Some websites said blankets weren’t included or cost extra, but we got them free, which surprised us since we’d brought our own and didn’t need them.
A huge radiator came off the wall and smashed onto the table during our December stay. Hot water sprayed everywhere and we couldn’t stop it for over 40 minutes. The apartment flooded within 10 minutes. My partner and I were in our underwear, scrambling in complete darkness to save our clothes, laptops and bag while hot water sprayed on us. We were injured and some of our belongings were damaged. We’ve had no compensation, and nobody from the property has even contacted us to apologize. We haven’t heard from them in over six weeks, so I assume this may happen regularly. This was unsafe. Stay at your own risk.
