The customer service was a joke. When I left, an “inspection officer” came to check how clean my room was and wanted to charge me 150 euros for cleaning. An absolute fraud. For that price you could buy better beds and sterilize the place. The accommodation itself was terrible too: awful floors, a bathroom that looked like a gas station bathroom in Mexico, where I’m from, and a kitchen straight from a nightmare. The quality couldn’t be lower. There was also a night guard with an attack dog telling guests to go to their rooms. The dog climbed on top of me once, and the guard just yelled at me. It felt like a refugee camp. What kind of place makes guests feel like prisoners? This was hands down the worst accommodation I’ve ever stayed in. I’d rather be in the cabin from The Shining with Jack Nicholson trying to murder me.

Skiing in Val Thorens was fantastic, and getting to the slopes from the hotel was easy. That was the only upside. The bathtub leaked, and the room wasn’t properly cleaned when we arrived, so we had to clean it ourselves. The sheets had blood stains. There was a dishwasher but no tablets, and although we were expected to clean the room, there were barely any cleaning supplies. The room was meant for five, but fitting three pairs of skis and two snowboards into the ski storage locker was really difficult.

The staff were very helpful and friendly, and the prices were okay. It’s well placed in the village, near the parking garage and entrance, with an airbridge to the shopping centre and stairs down to the piste. The room I had this time was just okay and a little below par. The shower looked quite new, but water ended up everywhere after each use. The bathroom smelled, though it was clean. I’d like a different room next time.

It’s close to the slopes and village centre, but there were stains and moisture damage, the bathtub leaked, and the ski storage was too small. The lobby was bare and dull, there were no dishwasher tablets or dish brush, and there wasn’t enough cookware. Lots of things didn’t work very well, and the service and information were poor. You had to pay extra for things that are usually included, like WiFi, TV use, and calling customer service. The fee for losing a key was ridiculously high too.
