We were told the dirty apartment could sleep four adult men. When we got there, it had a double bed, bunk beds, and a sofa. The toilet sits directly beneath a large boiler, and half the power outlets don’t work. There are six extension leads running through different rooms. Paying £860 for five nights is unacceptable.

A cheap place to stay if you’ll be out on the slopes or in town most of the time. It covers the basics: a fridge, microwave, electric hob, dishwasher (not great), and just enough hot water for showers. My main complaint is getting trapped in the elevator, though at least it makes for a good story.

Quelle Domage! The reception was shut when we arrived and only opened for about 4-6 hours a day, making it hard to complain about all the problems. For six days we reported mould caused by water leaking through the wall, but nothing was done. They sent a “technician” whose qualifications were questionable to “try” to fix it. We also had no hot water for the first two days, which is unbearable in -15 degrees. There was no smoke alarm in the room, which could have been dangerous. The advertised oven was nowhere to be found. On the first night I came back with a delicious Dr Ötker ristorante pizza (Chorizo and Basil...key) and no way to cook it. Customer service was just as absent. At checkout, they said my signature didn’t match the one from check-in, and I started wondering who I even was. Was I really Jarred Hayn, or just an impostor? We finally got our deposit back after threatening to call the bloody gendarmerie. Then we could head to Spar and spend it on Flugels!
