Residence Montagnettes Soleil 1 et 2

The apartment was close to the ski slope and had a nice view, but we were disappointed with the rest of our Christmas week stay. The furnishings were very dated and didn't look like the website photos. It clearly needs renovation, and at that price we expected a much higher standard. The kitchenware was dirty when we arrived, the bathroom smelled awful, and there weren't enough power outlets. We didn't get the clean towels described in the listing midweek. Only when I asked for fresh ones did anyone say we needed to request them in advance, which nobody had told us. Service was poor. I called to ask about ordering a taxi, was put on hold, and then the call was disconnected. We wouldn't stay again unless they make major improvements.

The one thing going for the apartment is that it's right by the slopes, but plenty of other places are too. Ours felt old, dirty, overpriced, and poorly maintained, with no regular service in place. When we needed a towel changed, we couldn't get help. Reception and service seemed chronically understaffed, and the apartment felt arranged to maximize the owner's revenue without anyone caring for it properly. We complained and got no response from management. Even after the stay, we'd been ignored. Don't go, it's not worth the trip. After your reply: interesting that you only respond now, after the public complaint on Google. The two emails I sent during our stay are still unanswered. Please read those before I write another one that gets ignored. Thank you.

We were three adults and two children, staying for two weeks in a ground-floor apartment with two bedrooms and a 'cabin'. It was very comfortable, and the reception team were really friendly. The location was excellent, with easy slope access and a convenient spot for the kids' ski school. We'd stay again.

Marjorie was a great help, and the staff were kind and keen to assist. For the price, it's a lovely place to stay, with prompt replies from the team. I'd highly recommend it. Our apartment was spacious, with two en-suite bedrooms, a bunk-bed setup behind a curtain, a fully equipped kitchen, and a large living room with a fireplace. We also had parking. The slope view was decent, framed between two buildings like an alcove. It wasn't 20 metres from the slopes as I'd been told, but there's a shortcut through the ESF office next door: take the lift down and come out on the slope. We only found that on our last day. We arrived late at night and had trouble with the keys. Finding the place in the dark was also difficult. Reception is open only from 4 to 8, so you have to call another number. That could be a problem if your phone only has data and you use WhatsApp calls.
