The staff were really friendly, and for €15 there was enough time to relax. Still, it didn’t feel like enough for a mountain spa. The sauna was underpowered, and its door wouldn’t close properly. All the lockers were faulty, so staff had to force them open. You also have to wear underwear in the sauna.

We had a great stay and plan to come back next year. It was our first time at Village Montana Plein Sud, and the apartment was clean, spacious, and had a living room with plenty of room. The kitchen was well equipped, though a previous guest had broken the cooking plate. VM replaced it straight away. The ski locker had boot heaters and enough space for the whole family, and the building gives you ski-in, ski-out access. When the kids got sick, we needed extra sheets. Everyone, from reception to the night watchman, was helpful and got us what we needed right away.

Calling this five-star is misleading. It may have got that rating because it has a spa, but the pillows were poor, the kitchen was very basic, and one bedroom had no window, just a roof light with a broken blind. It felt more like a four-star place.

The apartments are roomy and well organized, with ski-in, ski-out access. The saunas are great and the pool is nice, though pretty cold. You have to bring your own toilet paper and request fresh towels. There could be more places to hang things in the apartment.

The facilities were great and the staff were excellent. The place was clean and pleasant, and I’d stay again. It would be good to have regular restocking of toilet paper and cleaning, along with clean towels once or twice a week.
