We had a lovely few days of skiing with friends, but checkout left us feeling really badly treated. Since checkout was at 10, we asked if they could keep our bags while we took our ski gear back. Instead, we were sent back and forth between buildings. One woman, who wouldn’t give her name, was angry and vile. She rushed us and threatened to lock our things away. When she saw how much we had, she still refused to help by taking the keys, even though she was already heading to reception. It’s a fun place to stay with friends, but we felt hated on. That woman’s attitude was awful. They should look at how staff treat guests, because this could have been avoided.

There was hot water and heating, and the roof was there. That was about the extent of the basics. We had to make the beds ourselves and buy our own soap and toilet paper. Reception said the single roll they give you for four people is a “gift.” The room also had no coffee, tea, sugar, salt, oil, or anything to get started with cooking. The bins had no bags, so we bought those too. The bed had sweat stains, and the kettle kept switching on and boiling by itself. The TV and lamp were broken when we arrived. Wi-Fi was painfully slow, and we had to sign in manually every few hours.

The half board meals were excellent, and the room was a great size for just the two of us. Being able to ski straight in and out was really useful. The only downside was a somewhat chaotic check-in at 5pm.

They offered a replacement at the same price, but it was clearly inferior. I turned it down, and then they stopped replying altogether. My week-long ski trip at Résidence Le Tikal – Pierre & Vacances had been confirmed, but they canceled just days before arrival, saying it was due to “overbooking.” Canceling a confirmed booking at the last minute is unacceptable, and ignoring a guest afterward is unprofessional. I wouldn’t trust this property if reliability matters to you.
