The room overlooking the old well gave the dining room a romantic feel, and that's the well La Msison au Puits is named for. We loved our two nights at La Maison au Puits. Christianne and Nico were so kind and welcoming, and the place itself has lovely decor and a charming setting. Nico cooked a delicious dinner just for the four of us, my husband and me and our two good friends. The local wines he chose were excellent, and he stayed to chat with us afterward. He also gave us useful ideas for places to visit the next day.

The house is more than 350 years old, but it's been well cared for. Our suites felt comfortable and modern, with tasteful decor. Nico was a wonderful host from our arrival through to our departure, and he made breakfast for us every morning. He also helped us plan visits to several beautiful medieval villages nearby. His dinner option is well worth taking, he cooked a beautiful multi-course meal that could stand alongside one at a Michelin-rated restaurant. Christianne, Nico's wife, was away visiting family in the Netherlands, so I regret that I didn't get to meet her. We spent almost three weeks travelling around Spain and France, and our stay at La Maison au Puits was the highlight. I highly recommend it.

The room had a foyer and shared area, and was excellent. The house is a 300yo Maison, named for the well still standing inside. Breakfast and dinner were highlights too. I'm vegan, and the chef made me the best meal I've had in the Bastides. Many thanks.

Christianne and Nico put together a beautiful celebration dinner, delicious from start to finish. Every course came with a matching wine, and we had Champagne to welcome the New Year. The lovely old building also has rooms with modern facilities.

The house is in a lovely little village, just minutes from Cordes sur ciel. The hosts are lively and make sure your wishes are taken care of. As everyone says, it's a wonderful place to stay.
