Valerie and David were such kind, welcoming proprietors, and we loved our first ski trip to the Alps. Les Contamines and Hotel Gai Soleil completely won us over. We had an excellent breakfast, and the private jacuzzi and sauna were incredible to use each evening. The location is hard to beat, an easy walk to anywhere in town and only a couple of minutes by car from the slopes, with the bus as another option. My wife and I had an amazing time and would return again and again. I'd recommend Hotel Gai Soleil to anyone. You should come here! 6 stars out of 5.

The skiing was fantastic, and we had a wonderful family stay at Chalet-Hotel Gai Soleil. David and Valerie were lovely hosts, and breakfast was delicious.

After the first day of the Tour du Mont Blanc, sitting outside on the grassy area with a drink and taking in the scenery was just what we needed. The hotel has a calm, welcoming feel, and the rooms were comfortable and clean. The owner was especially kind and helpful, making us feel at home as soon as we arrived. A lovely place to stay for anyone hiking the TMB or visiting Les Contamines.

Valerie went out of her way to help us get an item we'd left somewhere else nearby. She picked it up and brought it to our next stay after we'd finished the TMB, which was incredibly kind and much appreciated. We also enjoyed a lovely dinner with great vegetarian options and a tasty packed lunch. The hotel was warm, cozy, clean, and beautiful, and the staff were lovely. Highly recommend it, and I can't wait to visit again!

After our first long day hiking the TMB, this hotel was exactly what we needed. The staff were incredibly kind and helpful. Valerie arranged a luggage transfer for us when we really needed one, and helped book a quick taxi for the next morning. Our room had a beautiful balcony, and it was an easy walk into town. Breakfast and dinner options were lovely too. I'd absolutely recommend staying here.
