Hotel Le Christiania

The room was fine, but it was quite small and sound carried easily, so we could hear everything. For the price, the hotel was decent value, though some unclear details left us disappointed. We had chosen it for the heated pool and spa. The website gave the impression the pool was heated, but we found out it relies on the sun, and during our stay it was cold. Spa access also came with extra fees that the website hadn't mentioned. At reception, the staff member couldn't find the booking and wasn't able to say whether we could reserve it, and didn't do much to help work out a solution. We were also told to book at least an hour ahead because the spa needs time to warm up.

The hotel was good overall, though the rooms feel a little dated. You have to book the sauna since it's private. I was disappointed that we couldn't eat at the restaurant: it was marked sold out even though many tables were empty.

There’s a comfortable outdoor space with a pool, tables, chairs, and shade umbrellas. Inside, there’s also a pleasant lounge, bar, and restaurant. The Wi-Fi worked quickly, but you can only get it in the lounge.

Our room was tiny but did the job. We had a great stay, with a short walk into town and to the TMB. We paid to use the sauna on a cold, rainy night, and the food was excellent. Breakfast was plentiful too.
