Cap Vacances Les Deux-Alpes

The apartment was completely worn out. Chairs were close to falling apart, there was just one closet in the whole place, and the shower tap was so loose that water leaked into the walls. The rooms were dirty, too; the baseboards looked as if they hadn't been cleaned in months. We were three in a six-person apartment, and even that barely worked. Any more people would have driven us mad. Broken shutters on the ground floor meant we kept the curtains closed because the parking lot was right outside the window. The Diable lift is very close, and it's fairly easy to get into the ski area from there. Check-in was quick and trouble-free, but that was about all the good. We couldn't figure out the reception hours, there wasn't even an oven, and the ski room stairs were rough. I've stayed in train stations with more comfort. To everyone, especially anyone travelling with E&P, stay away.

There’s a small laundry room and gym, and the hammam and sauna work well, though they cost 10€/30 minutes each. The pool is nice, but the temperature varied a lot from day to day and was too cold most of the time. The apartments were clean and functional, but storage was a serious problem. In our two-room apartment, the parents slept in the living room, and the only shelf was already used for duvets. We ended up keeping our things in duffel bags and shopping bags on the floor. The location is great, with the piste, restaurants and shops just a few minutes away.

The pool in the basement was nice for relaxing and about 1.5 metres deep throughout. There's paid laundry and ski storage, but the changing rooms need work: no lockers or toilet paper there either. Some of the photos show a gym, but there isn't one. There is just one lift, which doesn't seem enough for the number of guests. Larger groups can be accommodated. The apartments were clean and had no bad smells. The kitchen was good, Wi-Fi worked very well, and check-in and checkout were quick and smooth. Reception staff were helpful and spoke good English. The accommodation is easy to find on the main road, and there's a small parking area by reception. The apartments could use some basic cleaning supplies, like dish soap, a sponge and floor cleaner. Some beds are designed for children and too small for adults, and the heating needs improvement. Bring your own towels, shower gel, shampoo and toilet paper. Shops are a ten-minute walk, restaurants five to ten minutes, and the bus stop is next to the residence. The skipass ticket building is behind it. The centre and Tourism Office are about a 15-minute walk away.

Everything was great. The apartment was perfect, and the location was right in front of the lift and piste.
