Even with the cold weather outside, we felt completely cozy there. It’s a lovely, authentic stone house, and our room was clean and pleasant. Gilles and Volodymyr were so kind and welcoming. We stayed three nights, and dinner was a surprise each evening. Everything was fresh and local, and the food was excellent. Chef Gilles even made me a wonderful vegetarian meal. We ate far too much because it was hard to stop, so now we’re joking that we’ll need a week of fasting! We had such a great time and can’t wait to return. Thank you, Gilles and Volodymyr.

The restaurant is set in a beautiful old stable, and I was told the rooms upstairs are lovely too. It was just the start of the tourist season when we visited, so the full menu was on offer. Locals told me that isn’t always the case, so check ahead. They’re known for tomahawk veal steak; I chose the sirloin with peppercorn sauce, though it seemed more like a thin ribeye. The Texan-style pork ribs came cut up rather than as a rack. The sauce wasn’t quite barbecue, but they were tasty. We finished with pavlova and tiramisu. The town is in the middle of repairs and improvements. The restaurant says it won’t take reservations after 8, but we saw people being seated after 9. I’d still advise booking.

The food felt homemade and was so good, and I really enjoyed the accommodation and the village too. Loved the whole stay.

We had a lovely meal of country-style French food in a beautiful stone auberge. The ingredients were local and high quality, and the prices were great.

A peaceful, authentic spot up in the mountains. The rooms were clean and nice, and the regional food and wine were very good.
