Eleanor made the stay especially lovely. She’s charming, helpful, and great to talk with, and we enjoyed chatting with the other guests over breakfast. The old building, which I believe was once a monastery, has been renovated by Eleonor and Cédric. Our room was spacious, comfortable, and quiet, with no road noise. Breakfast had excellent coffee and tea, juice, homemade yogurt and jams, cheese, cereals, and baked goods from the local boulangerie. It’s an easy walk into town for restaurants, cafés, shops, the human prehistory sites, and two museums. There’s a pool too, though we didn’t use it. We stayed four nights and were delighted. I can’t think of a reason to stay elsewhere.

Ferme de Tayac is a cozy, romantic place to stay, with comfortable rooms and wonderful people. The Vézère River valley is uniquely beautiful, with its falaise, river, and fantastic microclimate. This is a great place to experience it.

The house has loads of history and character, and our clean, tidy room was just what we needed. Breakfast was great every morning. We spent a few days walking in the countryside, and Eleonore was a joy to talk to and so helpful with trail suggestions, local sights, and restaurants. Her hospitality was amazing. We’d highly recommend B&B Ferme de Tayac to anyone visiting the region.

Eleanor and Cedric made us feel so welcome. The rooms, shared spaces, and gardens are tastefully decorated and clearly cared for, and the food was delicious and nourishing. We had an amazing, enriching stay at Ferme de Tayac. I hope to return when I’m back in France.

Eleanore and Cedric were wonderful hosts. We started the day with fresh bread, croissants, and homemade preserves, and twice we had Eleanore’s table d’hote dinner. It was especially good for us as vegetarians, and the aperitifs were lovely too. Our room was spacious, comfortable, and full of character, with a jug of water, kettle, bathrobes, and extra pool towels. Having a terrace with chairs and a coffee table right outside was a real luxury. The place is quiet and beautiful, but still handy for Les Eyzies, its restaurants, and the area's prehistory sites. We used it as our base for #cycling around #Dordogne, with #hiking and #horseback trails nearby as well. Such a treat of a stay. We definitely plan to come back soon.
