Appartement Les Gets, 5 pièces, 8 personnes - FR-1-598-43

Emerald stay apartments worked really well for our group of eight for a week. The apartment was clean, comfortable and had everything we needed. It’s right in the centre of Les Gets, with a medium-sized supermarket less than 50m away and the ski lifts and bus station within walking distance. We especially enjoyed using the building’s Sauna and Hammam. I’d recommend it without hesitation!

We’d rather stay closer to the village of Les Gets itself, so we’ll probably choose somewhere else next time. That said, the apartment was lovely, with plenty of towels and bathroom accessories, and the staff and facilities inside were excellent.

We’d definitely consider coming back. The apartment was new, clean and very well equipped, and the block was quiet with barely anyone else living there. It’s a good choice if you want somewhere peaceful, away from the busy ski scene. A ski rental shop and the Terche drag lift are only a five-minute walk away, and the lift takes you into the Morzine-Les Gets ski area. I’d recommend having your own transport. Walking to Les Gets takes 30-40 minutes round trip, and it’s not a pleasant route: hilly, mostly along busy roads and with few pedestrian paths when it’s snowy. Parking downstairs was easy for us, with plenty of spaces. But if you need the underground car park and the Kandahar appointed garage, it could be tough with a large car. The second bunk bedroom is usable, but very cosy. We had a toddler with us and it was fine, though families with teenagers might feel differently. We were there for skiing in the Portes Du Soliel region.

We visited near the end of summer and there was still plenty going on. Most bars and restaurants were open, and so was the nearby lift. It came a close second to visiting in ski season. The apartment itself was stunning and perfectly located, two minutes from the nearest lift and just as close to shops and restaurants. For a big group, the shared area was ideal, with a huge seating space between two balconies that run the full length of the apartment. All the bedrooms were generous in size, clean and nicely furnished.
