Vaujany Locations - Domaine du Pâtre

The pool was great, the views were perfect, and it’s a gorgeous place to stay. A few things were a hassle: linens cost extra, you have to ask for more toilet paper each day and request dishwasher tablets. They’re strict about leaving the room as you found it, yet we found rubbish and a pair of boxers under the couch from a previous guest.

The apartment was spacious, clean and well furnished, with everything we needed, though it wasn’t especially cozy and could use a comfortable sofa and chairs. The Wi-Fi seemed outdated and didn’t always work properly. It’s a very quiet village, with limited entertainment. At the top of the village there’s a small supermarket, with a bakery downstairs. The ski lifts are walkable, though the route is uphill. Ski lockers are above the lifts, and you can take the escalator down from there. For arrival, keys are collected from a small wooden house in front of "La Maison de Vaujany," a historic building with parking up the driveway. The apartments are easy to reach: you can pull up by the service road to unload at the door, or use the garage beside the buildings.

The apartment was very comfortable and high quality, with a beautiful view and a large terrace on the ground floor. We got a warm welcome, and the paperwork and inventory were easy to handle. The heating control was the one problem: there were no instructions, and it was hard to set, so the temperature went from comfortable to very hot, especially at night.
