The park across the road was lovely, with a big playground, and the hotel looked brand new. We didn't spend time in town, so I can't comment on Les Herbiers. The pool looked lovely but wasn't due to open for a few more weeks, so we couldn't try it. The restaurant was amazing, and we ate there every night. The servers were kind and made a special meal for our son each night: breaded chicken, pesto pasta, and cherry tomatoes. Melodie at the front desk was an angel and helped us sort out a problem with our Puy Du Fou tickets. We stayed three nights to visit Puy Du Fou, as a couple with our five-year-old and an adult friend, and it was perfect for us. Thanks to all the staff for a wonderful stay. My son was sad to leave and says he wants to move there.

We really liked that it was a small hotel. It felt relaxing rather than chaotic, and the contemporary decor had a natural feel. The price seemed very reasonable for what you get. The staff were lovely, helpful, and polite. We had breakfast there and dinner on the terrace one evening, and the food and wine were delicious. The kids had a great time in the pool, and the towelling robes were a nice extra. Our family room for two adults and our children, aged 3 and 7, was spacious, with a great bathroom that had a separate shower and bath, plus a huge TV. We stayed three nights and drove to Puy de Fou for two days; it was no more than 15 minutes away. The hotel was also a pleasant walk from the center of Les Herbiers. The steam room and jacuzzi looked good, but we didn't get to use them. A great choice for families or couples.

We had a very comfortable, quiet room with a great bed and everything we needed. Breakfast and dinner in the restaurant were both great, and the staff were lovely. It's a brand new, modern and very stylish hotel, with gorgeous reception, bar, and restaurant areas. Highly recommend!

We had dinner there and it was superb. The breakfast buffet was otherwise amazing, though coffee lovers from Oz may be disappointed: coffee wasn't one of its highlights. It's a lovely, clean, new hotel, definitely deserving of four stars.
