RockyPop Chamonix - Les Houches

The room was compact but cleverly laid out, so it didn't feel cramped. I would've liked brighter or more lights when searching for things, though. Staff were friendly and helpful, and the hotel had a lovely atmosphere and delicious food. The location makes it fairly quick to reach Les Houches or Chamonix. The only real difficulty was the buses at peak times, when they were so full it could be hard to get on.

We spent one night at Rocky Pop, my partner and I, and came away very happy with it. The room was clean, comfortable, and well organized, with everything we needed for a short stay. Staff were friendly, professional, and efficient. The hotel feels highly functional, with an original, fun style and lots of thoughtful design details that don't feel overdone. I had no issues, and for what we paid, the quality and attention to detail seemed more than fair. I'd definitely recommend it to anyone stopping in the area.

Being close to the bus stop and supermarket made getting around easy, and I could walk to a few restaurants too. The rooms were clean and really nice, but the service let things down. I was sent the wrong way to a mountain and nearly missed my ski lesson. The kitchen staff were unfriendly when I made a sandwich to eat at breakfast. They said I couldn't take it for lunch and would have to pay extra, even though I was eating at the table. I saw the same thing happen to four other people over three days. It was easy to find and convenient for the bus, though buses only came every 30 minutes. Still, it felt expensive for what you got.

We paid very little, and the place was clean, beautiful, and well kept, with a lovely style and atmosphere. The bar and restaurant were great, and the food was amazing. They also had nice souvenirs. I've travelled a lot, and this is one of the best hotels I've stayed in.
