For me, you can’t beat an old-school family hotel in a good location. This is a lovely little property in a beautiful setting in a seaside village that still isn’t crowded. My stay was much better than at those expensive, monstrous five-star factories with thousands of workers chasing tips.

My husband and I only stayed one night while passing through, and we wish we’d known how lovely this place was so we could have booked longer and explored the area. It was a pleasure meeting Charlotte and Nemanja, and their beautiful son Pablo. It’s a family-run hotel where you’re made to feel welcome. Charlotte and Nemanja gave us excellent restaurant recommendations and great driving tips for our next stop, and greeted us with genuine smiles and warmth. Thank you both for a wonderful stay, and for the delicious homemade slice of yogurt cake when we arrived!

This is a simple hotel on a busy road beside a cliff. The room smelled as if someone had emptied ten cans of air freshener into it. The odd smell was coming from the air conditioning, and the owner couldn’t fix it. We couldn’t breathe normally, so after one night we cancelled the rest of our stay. We’d already paid for that first night, and we arrived late in high season with two small children, so there wasn’t another option. Breakfast was mediocre. The owner was friendly at first, but became a bit stern and sensitive when we raised problems.

I had a wonderful stay here in March while the place was still being renovated, and had an absolutely bonkers time. The hotel is so nice, but Charlotte, the gorgeous host, impressed me most. The view was amazing, everything was spotless, and the atmosphere was absolutely lovely. Many thanks for everything.
