Le Mas des Tronquisses

Seventeen of us stayed at the farmhouse for a stag party in August 2017. It’s a huge building with lots of character, all the comforts, and a location far from everything. The friendly, welcoming owner ran the whole place. Outside, there was a superb swimming pool and a big garden where we played football, badminton, and more. The place was fully equipped, and the griddles and barbecues were a big hit. I highly recommend it.

We had a wonderful family weekend, and the location was perfect in every way. The living spaces were well equipped, the rooms were comfortable and tastefully decorated, and the magnificent swimming pool was perfect for relaxing. Mas des Tronquisses is rented to one group at a time, with space for up to 15 people across seven double and family rooms. Rooms range from 12 to 25 m², all with private bathrooms and toilets; the smallest is 12 m² excluding the bathroom. For self-catering guests, there are two kitchens, one opening onto the courtyard and another upstairs. The indoor reception area is about 300 m². Outside, guests have the courtyard, pool, outdoor cooking area with plancha, BBQ(s), and paella, plus living areas.

The photos really don't do the Mas justice, so be ready to be surprised. It's sublime, with old stone walls, lush vegetation, lovely surroundings, and Martine's warm smile. The place feels like a peaceful haven, but has all modern amenities. Bedrooms all have en-suite bathrooms and perfect bedding; the two kitchens are well equipped, the pool is delightful, and the layout works ideally for large groups. Martine is a thoughtful, attentive host who makes a stay feel truly unique. Just be warned, coming back to reality is a bit of a shock.
