We've visited five times now, including three visits this year. The mobile homes are excellent quality and visibly very clean, and the two new ones are especially high standard. Staff are friendly, and the new indoor/outdoor pool is beautiful. It's a shame it's not open throughout the site's operating season, and there aren't many amenities out of season. This small, friendly place suits mature couples well, but older children and teenagers may find there's nothing for them to do. Otherwise we'd give it five stars.

We came away feeling well looked after, and the warm welcome deserves a big thank you. The heated pool and snack bar made for some lovely downtime, and the karaoke night is worth a look. The site is small and peaceful, away from the big seaside campsites, with well-equipped mobile homes. Les Mathes town center is close, and the beaches by La Coubre lighthouse and La Bouverie are only a short drive away. The beautiful La Coubre forest nearby has some lovely marked walking trails.

Camping de la Chênaie was a calm, clean and well-kept place to stay, with a friendly family atmosphere that made us feel comfortable straight away. It was a lovely base for unwinding and enjoying the region quietly. We'd happily come back. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐🌳
