We came back for a second visit and I was just as surprised as the first time. The staff are great, the pool is excellent and very clean, and there are activities for all ages. The animators are really dedicated and always smiling. My son was so happy and didn't want to go home. Thanks for the lovely time. We're hoping for a third trip to Palmyre, but everything is booked at the beginning of August.

The evening music was unbelievably loud, even though we were about as far away from it as possible. It started at 9pm and continued until midnight, keeping my 3-year-old and 7-year-old awake. If you want cabaret shows every evening, this is the place. If you come to relax and leave well rested, good quality earplugs might be worth packing. It's a shame, because the rest of the holiday was faultless. The staff were incredibly helpful and easy to find. The pool was one of the best we've found, with plenty of space and quieter spots for young children. The shop had a good range, though it was a little expensive, and the takeaway food and restaurant were delicious.

Parking needs sorting out. There's only space for one car per unit, so the extra parking area filled up and cars overflowed onto the access road. Arrival and departure days were absolute bedlam. For us, the site's distance from town and the difficulty of getting to the beaches were drawbacks, especially with a dog. The beach on the Atlantic side was excellent but very hard to reach. There was good access to cycle paths, and, as usual, French drivers were extremely tolerant of cyclists. The entertainers' work rate was extremely commendable, though the entertainment was entirely in French. Staff at check-in were polite, our pitch was a good size, tidy and accessible, and the facilities on site were very good. The bar staff were pleasant, but the restaurant menu was very limited, if reasonably priced. The fuss about swimming shorts seemed exaggerated to me. They basically objected to loose shorts that could be worn outside the pool. Overall, a good experience.

This was our second visit to Eden Village with Eurocamp, and it was just as good as the first. The site is really clean and well looked after, with friendly, helpful staff and a safe feel for children exploring. There are great facilities for caravans, tents and chalets, including table tennis, football, tennis, volleyball, a skate park and lots more. You need a car or bike because walking to La Palmyre in the heat is quite a trek. Bikes are available to hire on site. We'll definitely book to come back in 2024.
