Le Moulin des Tréans

We paid €190 for one night, two adults, one child and two dogs, and would stay again. Our hosts were very friendly and apologetic when we couldn't fit into the parking area because of a wooden beam at the entrance and the roof box on our car. Luckily, there was a small grassy bank right outside that felt safe and close by. We made a real effort together to communicate in French and English. The yurt was a great experience, dog friendly, and had plenty of facilities, hot water, a toilet and a shower. It was very humid inside, though, and the hosts don’t want guests eating or drinking in there. There’s a small bar and breakfast room for everyone to use. The site is lovely, surrounded by ponds and trees, but cover up or burn small candles to avoid the flies and mosquitoes. The turret building is pretty and, if I understood the host correctly, dates to 1202. An AC unit would make summer nights in the yurt more comfortable, and separate breakfast tables would give guests some privacy.

The hosts were perfect, and the stay was very comfortable and peaceful. It’s in a lovely area near Saint-Nazaire and Pornic, with its thalassotherapy resort.

We had a peaceful night in a comfortable bed, and the romantic room was just right. On our arrival evening, our host Stéphane and his family served delicious butternut squash soup and a generous charcuterie board in a spacious, distinctive setting. Breakfast was generous too. We’ll definitely be back!

The grounds are still beautiful, exceptionally well kept, and a treat for stone lovers like us. A perfect spot for a relaxing break. Thanks again for the hospitality, we won’t forget it.
