We went for New Year’s hoping to enjoy ourselves, but the stay turned into stress and a lot of waiting. Other hotels were already fully booked, so we had to stay. Otherwise, we would have left straight away. I can’t imagine worse customer service. Mistakes happen, but a business that welcomes guests should have a way to put things right. We left feeling anxious and angry, and our holiday was spoiled. We won’t return and will tell others to avoid the place. Our check-in time was 16:00. We arrived at 14:00 and planned to leave the car at the hotel while we got lunch, even though parking was 30 euro per week. There was no staff at reception, which was shut behind metal shutters, and all nearby parking was full. With no other option, we parked in a restricted spot. Nobody picked up the hotel hotline. We left several messages and got no reply. When we returned at 16:00, the receptionist said there was no parking available, even if we paid, so we spent nearly an hour looking for a space. After waiting another 30 minutes in the lobby while one family checked in, we were told there was no room for us because they’d made a mistake and given ours to someone else. My father-in-law asked what we were supposed to do. The receptionist joked that we’d sleep in the street, then said, “I am joking. You will get your room BEFORE 19:00”. It was a wildly inappropriate thing to say. After 5 PM, a supervisor apologized and explained that someone was checking out and they needed 30 minutes to clean the room. We had booked and paid for a sledge gliding activity at 17:30, expecting to check in at 16:00. We asked to leave our suitcases in the room and change into warmer clothes. They took us to the room while the cleaning had just started. When the cleaners saw us, they quickly mopped the floor and left. The room hadn’t been properly cleaned, we’d already lost over an hour, and our plans were at risk. We asked the supervisor for complimentary cleaning at checkout, since cleaning is either done by guests or costs 40 euro. She said, “I don’t think so. But let’s talk about it tomorrow.” The next day, all we got was, “We apologized. That’s all we can do”. We also had no mobile coverage anywhere in the area with SFR. Wi-Fi was only available in the lobby, and most restaurants didn’t offer free Wi-Fi, so we were out of reach the whole time.

We had a quiet stay in a spacious apartment. The residence is right by the slopes, with a great pool and sauna, and dogs are welcome. Staff were lovely and friendly, and the chocolates they gave us when we left were a nice touch. Wi-Fi is available in the lobby, while Orange had full 4G signal everywhere, including inside the apartments. My only small gripe was that the bedroom window wasn’t well insulated.

We stayed in January 2019 and were greeted warmly by the fireplace, with complimentary drinks. The staff were helpful and efficient, and our apartment was clean and laid out very well. It had a lovely balcony with mountain views, and relaxing in the pool after skiing was much appreciated. The resort slopes were also very well maintained. Wi-Fi worked in reception. It would have been a bonus to have it on the upper floors. We’d stay again.
