Hotel la Portette

Nathalie and Anthony really went out of their way to make New Year's Eve special for our family of four. Because of the curfew, we had to eat in our room, so Anthony cooked a three-course meal and we messaged him for each course. A pretty unique dinner! Nathalie even insisted on driving us into town so we'd have more time there, though the free Navette bus stops just across the road. The ski lifts were closed, so we couldn't ski, but the location seems ideal for ski in/out. The rooms are quite basic and small for a family of four, so two nights was just right for us. The kids thought sharing bunks with us every night was an adventure.

The food was inedible, absolutely garbage. The rooms were cool, with carpet on the walls. Staff brought us food but didn't speak to anyone. One staff member was smoking right next to 40 children while they were eating lunch.

Had a great week on a school trip with elemental. It would've been perfect if the pool and decking had been restored, but it was more than fine without them.

The food was delicious 😋, the location was great, and the staff were very friendly and attentive. Excellent service.
